How much is shipping and how long will it take?
We ship within New Zealand and to Australia, with more destinations on the way. New Zealand orders are a flat $8, free over $120, arriving in 1 to 5 business days depending on the island, and a little longer for rural addresses. Australian orders are a flat rate shown in Australian dollars and take 6 to 12 business days. Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days before dispatch.
Can I return something?
Unopened items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, with seals intact and in resalable condition, and return postage is at your own cost. Opened items can't be returned, as incense, balms and sachets absorb and carry aroma. If anything arrives damaged or incorrect, email hello@yunora.co.nz within 30 days with your order number and a photo, and we'll replace it or refund you in full including postage.
Do the sticks come with a holder?
No, sticks are sold on their own, so you'll need a holder or burner to use them. You can find our holders and burners.
How do I use incense sticks?
Light the tip and let it catch for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame so an ember is left glowing. Rest it in a holder and it will burn down on its own. To stop one early, press the lit end gently into ash or a non-flammable dish. Between uses, keep the vial sealed and dry, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
Is incense safe around children and pets?
Yes, burn in a ventilated room and keep lit incense well out of reach of children and animals. Never leave it unattended.
Why are the sticks sold by weight?
Each vial holds 10g, except for Empress Veil and First Light, which are 9g. Their ingredients roll into slightly thicker sticks, so only 9g fits in the vial. Every stick is seven centimetres and burns for about twenty minutes, but each one is rolled by hand, so the number in a vial varies a little and weight is the truer measure.
What is a fragrance balm?
A solid perfume that moisturises as it scents, worn on the skin.
Where is Yunora incense made?
Our incense sticks, fragrance balms and sachets are handcrafted in Liwei's teacher's workshop in Yangzhou, China. Our incense plaques are handmade by Liwei in Aotearoa New Zealand, using the traditional techniques she learned from her teacher.
Can I come to a workshop if I have allergies?
Our workshops use natural aromatic ingredients such as agarwood, sandalwood, clove, borneol and cardamom. Each formula is made the traditional way, so ingredients can't be left out or swapped. If you have any allergies or sensitivities, please email hello@yunora.co.nz before booking. We can tell you more about the ingredients used and advise whether the workshop is suitable for you.
