Made by hand
Handcrafted with care
Every incense stick, plaque, sachet and balm is handcrafted using natural aromatic ingredients, following traditional Yangzhou scholarly incense making techniques.
The craft unfolds through nine considered steps, from selecting and processing the ingredients to blending, shaping and maturing. Each stage is approached with patience, precision and care, allowing the fragrance to gradually develop its depth, balance and character.

Scents for every moment of stillness
From teacher to student
A tradition passed on with gratitude
Yunora is shaped by knowledge passed from teacher to student.
Liwei learned traditional Chinese scholarly incense making techniques from her teacher in Yangzhou, studying the ingredients, formulas and techniques behind the craft.
Today, that knowledge continues through Yunora, with respect for where it came from, and with the hope of bringing this tradition into everyday life in Aotearoa New Zealand.
